Ramstein AB, Germany – There’s so much to look forward to throughout the year while stationed in Germany but one of the major events that the entire KMC anxiously awaits is the Ramstein Bazaar. This year marked the 54th anniversary of the event. Running from Thursday, September 13 at 1000 until Sunday, September 16 at 1700 the bazaar was in full swing.
As always there was something there for everyone to enjoy. Those who didn’t have the shopping bug still had the opportunity to taste tons of delicious options provided by the 29 private organizations that were present. There were options like funnel cakes, lumpia, fried pickles, street tacos, snow cones, turkey legs and much more. All those who volunteered their time and efforts towards their private organizations were certainly rewarded with great success. There were constant lines filled with hungry customers waiting to taste the delicious favorites. Let’s not forget the 13 incredible sponsors who helped make this event possible while still supporting the community at large.
There was a grand total of 130 vendors from all across Europe who set up shop on the flight line to sell their goods. All the fan favorites were in attendance selling wine, cheese, olive wood, lavender, candles, furniture, and homemade crafts. With an estimated 20,000 visitors, the 2018 Ramstein Bazaar generated approximately $1.9 million in gross sales and we certainly look forward to seeing what a generous portion of that revenue will do for our community.
Two incredible teams; the 86th Force Support Squadron along with the Ramstein Officers Spouse Club worked countless hours together to host an incredible event that has created a prestigious reputation throughout the past 54 years. We look forward to seeing you next year at the 55th Annual Ramstein Bazaar!
