Ramstein AB, Germany –Oktoberfest is a Bavarian tradition that people look forward to from all over the world. Unfortunately, it can be hard to make the trip so the 86th Force Support Squadron decided to bring the party to the E’ Club on Ramstein Air Base; Friday, 4 October. The celebration was kicked off with a ceremonial keg tapping by Chief Master Sergeant Ernesto J. Rendon, Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 86th Airlift Wing surrounded by the crowd all dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndls.

Throughout the evening there were pretzels, brats, and potato salad to enjoy along with German beer to keep the night flowing. To make the atmosphere feel a little more authentic, live camera footage from “Tent Street” in Munich played throughout the club while traditional festival music filled the air.
There were tons of opportunities to win prizes at the event. There was a “Best Dressed” contest where lucky winners received 86 FSS gift cards and beautiful German Steins. For the main game of the night, we challenged 10 patrons to a stein holding competition. The last person standing with there stein held out in front of them won $25 gift card. The opportunity to win didn’t stop there, a Facebook and Instagram contest has a grand prize of a $100 gift card! A photo booth was set up with frames and props along with stage lights and a photographer, so not only could you remember the night but potentially win big!
