Civilians/ Contractors, GSU’s and Spouses with information from various base agencies to assist in their assimilation to the KMC.

Department of Labor (DoL) Employment Track (2 day)

Employment Track assists members seeking employment with job search skills, resume writing, interviewing, networking, and salary negotiations using labor market information and federal employment hiring guidelines.

Ditching the Dorms

0900 – 1130 • Virtual

Virtual Workshop to assess if Airmen are financially ready to move out of the dorms and onto the economy.

Federal Employment in the KMC

Goal Setting and budgeting, Credit and Debt Management, Car Buying, Banking and Checkbook Management, Basic Investing

Financial Readiness Touchpoint – First Duty Station Officers

1400-1600 • In Person @ A&FRC

Within the first 90 days of arrival to Ramstein AB, First Duty Station Officers are required to complete this touchpoint.

German Culture Orientation

This program is designed to give the newcomers to the KMC community the tools needed to familiarize themselves with this assignment and all this wonderful area has to offer. Topics that will be covered during the orientation include: Understanding German Culture, Driving, Recycling and Customs.

Key Spouse Luncheon

Key Spouses and Mentors connect with a local agency to gain education to assist their units and given an opportunity to engage with base leadership

Loss of BAS II Brief

Workshop will teach civilian basic resume writing tips and tricks.

TAP 3 Day Workshop

0800-1630 • Virtual

Mandatory workshop for service members retiring or separating from military.  Includes DOD Day, VA Benefits & Services, & DOL 1 Day/EFCT.

9-10 June

TAP Employment Workshop

0800-1630 • Virtual

DoL Employment track designed to teach retiring and separating service members valuable employment seeking skills such as: Resumes, cover letters, application processes, LMI, social media use, networking, and much more.

22-23 June

TAP Entrepreneurship Workshop

0800-1630 • Virtual

Conducted by the Small Business Administration (SBA). Service members pursuing self-employment in the private or non-profit sector will learn about the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, the benefits and realities of entrepreneurship, and the steps toward business ownership.

TAP: Pre-Separation Counseling

0830-1100 • Virtual

The second step in the TAP process. Should be completed NLT 365 days from DOS/DOR. Service members will be counseled based on the pre-separation counseling script. Will receive information on resources and programs they may be eligible for as transitioning service members.
