About Honor Guard
The Ramstein Air Force Base Honor Guard, is responsible for covering over 315.000 square miles spanning all over Europe. The team performs at over 34 American battle monument commissions where American heroes were laid to rest. In addition, our team accomplishes over 200 change of commands, induction ceremonies, sabor cordons, annual award banquets, promotions, retirements, and most importantly, congressionally mandated Military Funeral Honors for Active Duty, Veterans and Retirees.
Our Mission
The mission of the Ramstein Air Base Honor Guard is to “Represent every member, past and present, of the United States Air Force…” We accomplish our mission by selecting only the sharpest and most dedicated individuals for our team to support 5 countries (France, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, and Southern Germany) across the USAFE-AFAFRICA AOR. Our members represent Ramstein and the Air Force at base-wide details, community events, cordons for distinguished guests, and many other details.
