Family Member Relocation Clearance (FMRC)

All Airmen and Guardians will now be required to complete a MyVector process before their PCS. Airmen and Guardians will receive MyVector system-generated email up to 15 days after the Assignment Creation Date (ACD) and are within eight months of their Report No Later Than Date (RNLTD). At this time, the service member will be prompted to complete the Initial Travel Screening Questionnaire (ITSQ). The ITSQ is a 2 to 12-question screener dependent on the answers provided.  MyVector will populate a link to the Family Member Travel Screener (FMTS) if additional information is required.

The service member will be approved to receive PCS orders if the relocating to a CONUS location, has no family members enrolled in EFMP, and answers “NO” to all the questions.

If a member has family members enrolled in EFMP and answers “Yes” to one of the questions, the member will receive two (2) notifications: the “Additional Screening Required” and the requirements to complete the FMTS application.

ALL family members traveling OCONUS MUST have a complete review of their medical records. A “comprehensive exam” within the past 24 months (or within 12 months if under six years old) must be in the family member’s medical chart. If a member is relocating to an OCONUS Geographically Separated Unit (GSU) or Sister Service location, and a family member has medical or mental health needs. A DD Form 2792 is required to be submitted.

Dependents 18 and older will receive an email with a passcode and are required to complete their own FMTS.

To ensure that your clearance runs smoothly, please ensure that records from off-base providers have been submitted to the Medical Records Office on the first floor of the 86th Medical Group.

Dependent Travel Not Approved (DTNA) Process

When a member receives a travel determination of “RED/DTNA” on their FMTS application, the member will receive a MyVector generated email and a MyVector notification within their account.

Enrollment

Enrollment in EFMP is mandatory for active-duty families with a family member with special needs. EFMP enrollment ensures that the service members’ families have the appropriate medical services needed by coordinating and providing support, assisting in navigating educational services, securing adaptive equipment, and securing assistive technology devices.

Enrollment ensures that the service members gaining base have the appropriate medical services needed by family members and that your family member’s documented medical and educational needs are not just considered but prioritized during the assignment coordination process.

Enrollment can be self-initiated, PCM-referred, or during the travel screening process. When a member is enrolled, records are reviewed, helping match their grade and specialty with a location that can support their special needs.

Initial and Annual Contact

Upon enrollment or arrival at Ramstein, the sponsor is required to update the enrolled family member’s information and every year after until they are disenrolled.

To Disenroll or Update Status

If you believe you no longer meet the criteria for enrollment or medical needs have changed, please view Ramstein Air Base’s EFMP-M Quick Guide for you next steps.

Extended Health Care Option (ECHO)

ECHO provides financial assistance for an integrated set of services and supplies beyond what Tricare offers, such as Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) or durable medical equipment (DME). You must be enrolled in EFMP to be eligible for ECHO benefits.
