Ramstein AB, Germany – On Wednesday, 19 December and Thursday 20 December, the 86th Force Support Squadron gave four lucky individuals the opportunity for an 86 second shopping spree at the Ramstein and Vogelweh Commissary before the stores opened. Airmen Kayla Francis was selected by her First Sergeant as an outstanding E-4 and below nominee, and Danyelle Gentry was a deployed spouse randomly selected by the Airmen Family Readiness Center. Captain Meki Bocage was selected by her Commander as an outstanding O-3 and below nominee, and Airmen 1st Class LaTrice Nelson was nominated through the Ramstein FSS Facebook promotion that received more than 300 entries.
Surrounded by friends and co-workers, each winner took advantage of all 86 seconds they were allotted. They all had a mapped out plan of priority aisles, and some even practiced their routes. Items in high demand included frozen meat and seafood, detergent, snacks, and energy drinks.
The 86 FSS was happy to assist with their holiday shopping and picked up the tab of all four grocery carts with a combined grand total of $1837.60
