While moving can be stressful, your stress can be drastically reduced if you take full advantage of the many Relocation Assistance Program services and tools available. The A&FRC provides relocation information, education, and skills development for customers. The A&FRC is the place to find answers to all of your relocation questions as well as assistance with in-transit emergencies.
The Airman and Family Readiness Center staff can help you with many relocation concerns, answer questions about the German culture, and provide assistance with moving adjustments. The Relocation Program is the office of primary responsibility for the Base INTRO program. For an appointment, contact the Airman and Family Readiness Center at DSN 480-5100.
GERMAN CULTURE ORIENTATION (GCO)
The GCO is a non-mandatory class beneficial for newcomers. The briefing provides information on German culture, customs, and courtesies. The class is designed to welcome Active Duty members, Civilians, and Dependents to the KMC and provide basic tools and information to assist with adapting to their new base, home, and community.
Sponsorship Training is for first time sponsors, a refresher for those that haven’t sponsored someone recently, or for anyone that wants to be a better sponsor. Learn how to help a newcomer have a smooth transition into the KMC! This is a training group that can be done at the A&FRC or in the workplace for 10 or more people. Dish kits are available for all ranks who have just relocated to Ramstein, are TDY, or are PCSing from Ramstein. Hours of Operation: Tues, Wed, and Fri, 11:00-13:00 as well as the last Saturday of the month from 11:00-14:00.
