Volunteering in the KMC

TAP Employment Workshop

DOL Employment track designed to teach retiring and separating service members valuable employment seeking skills such as: Resumes, cover letters, application processes, LMI, social media use, networking, and much more.
Key Leadership Immersion Briefing

TAP: Pre-Separation Counseling
Virtual 8, 22, 29 Mar 0830-1100
The second step in the TAP process.
Should be completed NLT 365 days from DOS/DOR.
Service members will be counseled based on the pre-separation counseling script.
Will receive information on resources and programs they may be eligible for as transitioning service members.

Newcomer Orientation provides all newly assigned Members;
Active Duty, DoDCivilians/ Contractors, GSU’s and Spouses with information from various base agencies to assist in their assimilation to the KMC.

German Culture Adaption

This program is designed to give the newcomers to the KMC community the tools needed to familiarize themselves with this assignment and all this wonderful area has to offer.
Topics that will be covered during the orientation include: Understanding German Culture, Driving, Recycling and Customs.
Retirement Planning – Blended Retirement System (BRS) Vesting

This class is specifically targeted toward Airmen who are approaching their two year (24 month) mark for vesting and receiving matching contributions in TSP.
Covered topics will include – navigating your TSP account as you become vested.
This class meets the requirement for the Personal Financial Readiness – Financial Planning for Retirement Starter touchpoint.

TSP – Thrift Savings Plan

Discussion will include navigating the Thrift Savings Plan website and Fund information, as well as a multitude of other topics.

Provides Key Spouses and Mentors education on base resources and provides an opportunity to engage with base leadership.
Bowl-O-Rama
In-person 25 Mar 1200-1400 and 1430-1630
Family Bowling Night.
Bowling activity for EFMs to foster inclusion, promote motor skill development and learn resiliency skills.
Sensory modifications may also be provided.
